PARKS AND MONUMENTS
Village Green on the corner of Main St. and Rt.
28 next to Snow Library. It has benches, picnic tables and a rhododendron
Academy Place is in the triangle
formed by Main St., Rt. 28 and Academy Place. It has benches, Coast
Guard buoy bell, and memorials to the veterans of World War I, World
War II, The Korean and Vietnam Wars.
Civil War Monument on the corner
of Main St. and Monument Rd. is dedicated to those who died during
the War Between the States.
Eldredge Park is on the corner
of Rt. 28 and Eldredge Park Way. It has lighted fields, a concert
shell, three tennis courts, fenced children’s playground and picnic
Town Cove Park on Rt. 28 overlooks
the Cove and is the site of the Jonathan Young Windmill.
State Park offers 1,900 pristine acres with eight crystal
clear fresh water ponds, eight miles of hiking trails and an eight
mile bike path. Accessible beaches, fishing, picnicking and rest
rooms. Admission is free for day visitors. The Park is located off
Route 6A in Brewster near the Orleans border.
