PARKS AND MONUMENTS

Village Green on the corner of Main St. and Rt. 28 next to Snow Library. It has benches, picnic tables and a rhododendron display garden.

Academy Place is in the triangle formed by Main St., Rt. 28 and Academy Place. It has benches, Coast Guard buoy bell, and memorials to the veterans of World War I, World War II, The Korean and Vietnam Wars.

Civil War Monument on the corner of Main St. and Monument Rd. is dedicated to those who died during the War Between the States.

Eldredge Park is on the corner of Rt. 28 and Eldredge Park Way. It has lighted fields, a concert shell, three tennis courts, fenced children’s playground and picnic tables.

Town Cove Park on Rt. 28 overlooks the Cove and is the site of the Jonathan Young Windmill.

Nickerson State Park. Paved and dirt trails wind through woods and along freshwater ponds. Swim, fish and picnic.
