BICYCLE TRAILS Cape Cod Rail Trail is a thirty-mile long path that follows the bed of the former Penn Central Rail Road. It winds through the towns of Dennis, Harwich, Brewster, Orleans, Eastham and Wellfleet. Miles of paved bicycle trails go through woods and fields, by cranberry bogs, freshwater ponds, and saltwater marshes. Nickerson State Park is the official trail head and overseer of the trail. The Rail Trail itself extends over 11 miles in each direction from the park and the park itself has some great paths if you like to climb. |
